Pumpkin Patch!

This weekend we took a trip up to the North Georgia mountains to visit a pumpkin farm. The weather was gorgeous and it was beginning to feel a bit like fall...

Ben was excited to choose a pumpkin - he still talks about the one we had last year!

Hmm, it's a hard choice...
---
After surveying the pumpkins, there were plenty of fun activities

Ben loved the bounce house

especially as he had it all to himself!

And it came with a great view

"Bouncing like Sponge Bob" he said.
---
Next stop was a visit to see the pony.

Ben was nervous at first

but he quickly warmed up

getting closer and closer

until he finally gave him a nice "pat, pat" on his neck.

Then he got up the courage to take a ride.

He loved it!

---
Then it was time for a hayride

The driver gave us a tour of the pumpkin farm

The ride usually goes across this stream, but after the recent rain and flooding, it was too fierce to cross, so we took an alternate route.

Ben thought it was great to ride on a tractor

Owen thought it was pretty cool too!

A nice couple took our picture, but Ben was a bit suspicious :)

Looking for the horses

Heading home.

We had a lovely afternoon.
Next on the agenda... pumpkin carving!
